"Born in 1989 he started to play drums when he was 18 years old. After a brief period dedicated to metal and hardcore music, he got interested in jazz and through the path of idiomatic improvisation, soon, he found himself involved in avant-garde/free jazz and free improvisation projects. In 2015 La Foresta started playing solo concerts, first with the whole drum set and then reducing the kit more and more. His interests today range between improvisation and composition, sound performance and sound art. He moved drastically away from traditional drumming, treating the drum as a wind instrument with a special self-made system, called Drummophone, which was officially presented at Tempo Reale in 2017."
